Mapei (UK) Ltd is seeking to recruit a Training Manager Ceramic – Midlands Area
The main role will be to ensure the delivery of training across the Mapei Ceramic product line. This will be carried out within professional facilities with a consistent approach to quality of delivery. This role will involve both external onsite training and internal training at the Mapei Academy in Halesowen. The successful applicant will deliver practical and theoretical training courses; therefore a high level of hands-on construction experience is required, preferably within the tiling industry.
Applicants must be able to communicate effectively and clearly at all levels; be able to work flexibly, and be well presented with a professional attitude, team player and have excellent leadership qualities.
We are looking for a self-driven, professional, highly motivated person with a positive outlook and attitude. Mature, reliable, flexible, and extremely trustworthy. A good business overall attitude, and personable with a loyal work ethic.
Essential:
- Proven previous experience of delivering training.
- Previous experience of delivering presentations with known software packages.
- Excellent communication skills throughout the business, including external customers and contacts.
- Excellent organisation skills.
- A good written standard of English.
- Some previous experience of managing people.
- A good working understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Powerpoint
- At least 5 GCSE passes, grade ‘C’ or equivalent to include English and Maths.
Desirable:
- A qualification in a suitable discipline, ie building and construction and/or least five years’ experience within the building and construction sector.

Salary will be negotiable based on experience, knowledge and ability.
Hours of work: Monday- Friday 08:30-17:00 with an hour for lunch, 37.5 hours a week.
