Presented by The Flooring Show, the UK’s only national dedicated flooring exhibition, a new Contract Flooring Zone will take its place on the show floor of HOMES 2018 at Olympia, London, later this month.
HOMES is the premier event for those working at a high level in residential development, strategic asset management and procurement. It features over 120 exhibitors, has the housing sector’s biggest free content offering of talks, seminars and panel debates, runs alongside key industry conferences and features leading speakers including Kit Malthouse MP, Minister of State for Housing, who will give the closing keynote speech. HOMES has been running for six years and takes place this year at Olympia, London over two days, 28 – 29 November.
With over 4000 visitors from the world of residential development in attendance, the new Contract Flooring Zone is aimed at educating and engaging the sector in all aspects from buying, specifying and fitting any type of floorcovering. This exciting new feature brings a great opportunity to network and discuss future projects.
The line-up for this new initiative includes the Contract Flooring Association (CFA) along with Furlong Flooring (carpet, vinyl, LVT and wood flooring), Ball & Young (underlay), YTD Ltd (wood flooring) and the Flooring Industry Training Association (FITA).
Those taking part in the Contract Flooring Zone will be there to meet and offer advice to attending housing developers, flooring contractors, commercial fitters and those involved in buying and specifying flooring in the Housing, Hotel, Leisure and Commercial sectors.
“The opportunity to get some of our key flooring exhibitors in front of this housing audience was too good to miss,” says Flooring Show event manager, Kane Thomas.
“Visitors to HOMES will be able to see the latest trends and hear about recent news and activity within the contract flooring sector. With a wide range of floorcoverings to choose from including carpets, underlays, vinyls, rubber, timber, adhesives and flooring accessories, there certainly are a lot of topics up for discussion, such as the importance of choosing an established, quality vetted company for your installations.”
The new Contract Flooring Zone area will also include demonstrations on installation processes and flooring techniques by FITA to help specifiers gain a greater understanding of the journey from specification to the finished product.
