Tarkett and DESSO are celebrating another show-stopping Clerkenwell Design Week following a compelling three-day programme exploring the human response to work spaces of the future.
The flooring specialist’s ‘Meet the Future Human’ theme captured the imagination of festival goers, media and influencers alike, sparking conversation and debate throughout the iconic design event.
Leading an insightful and carefully curated talks programme were some of the UK’s most influential creative thinkers including trend watcher and author Caroline Till and acclaimed futurologist Tom Cheesewright. Whilst industry experts from Gensler, Peldon Rose and UKGBC joined design journalist Katie Treggiden for a thought-provoking panel debate on the future of work.
Tarkett and DESSO also brought their usual sense of fun and creativity to the festivities with virtual reality art demos, bar bike tours of Clerkenwell, an ‘ever-changing flavour’ nitrogen ice cream stand and the infamous closing party with soul funk band Mind the Cat.
Steve Urwin, Tarkett’s UK Marketing Manager, said: “The Tarkett Desso showroom was once again the place to be at Clerkenwell Design Week. Our programme provided insight, inspiration, creativity and fun and was extremely well received by thousands of visitors who sought us out to be part of their CDW experience.
“The ‘Future Human’ theme provided plenty of food for thought and looks set to continue to fuel debate and conversation over the coming months, as we further our exploration into what the future of work really means.”
