The Flooring Show Works with Industry to Secure New Dates

The UK’s national flooring event, The Flooring Show, has been working with exhibitors and key retailers to find an alternative date for the show that will benefit the industry.

The news comes as the UK government announced that exhibitions will be allowed to take place from 1 October 2020. The original show dates were 20-22 September but it had already been decided that this was too soon, revealed Event Director, Alex Butler.

“It’s great news that we now have a go date for exhibitions”, said Alex. “However, even prior to today’s government announcement, we had come to the decision that September was going to be too early to deliver the show that the flooring industry knows and loves.”

“We have been in discussions with our exhibitors, visitors and partners over the past week to work on a new dateline for The Flooring Show, and we look forward to making an announcement shortly.”

The Flooring Show has already secured a new Harrogate venue, Yorkshire Event Centre (YEC), as Harrogate Convention Centre remains a Nightingale Hospital into next year. YEC is less than 10 minutes from Harrogate town centre and is a purpose-built exhibition venue, with over 2,000 free car parking spaces and complimentary shuttle bus from the town.

Alex concluded: “We’re delighted that we can keep the show in Harrogate. Yorkshire Event Centre is going to be an excellent home for the next edition The Flooring Show, and we’re excited to reveal our plans for the show very soon.”
