The Contract Flooring Association (CFA) is set to work together with the Painting and Decorating Association (PDA) to provide new opportunities for their members.
The two associations will feature information about each other on their respective websites. They will also share technical information to help their members understand each other’s specialisms and requirements, as well as promote how the two trades can work together.
The partnership will also allow members to direct customer enquiries via a trusted route to a fellow professional.
Chief Executive at the PDA, Neil Ogilvie, said: “Building connections across the construction industry is an important aspect of what we do as a trade body, but also how our members operate on a day-to-day basis.
“The PDA sets out strict criteria that painters and decorators must meet to become members of the Association. This level of vetting means that fellow contractors and their clients can have full confidence in retaining the services of PDA members.
“It is also useful for our members to understand the needs of CFA members, as shared technical information helps us understand how we can positively impact each other’s work.”
Richard Catt, CFA Chief Executive Officer, said: “The CFA logo represents a quality supply chain of contractors, manufacturers and distributors who are experts in the supply and installation of all types of commercial (soft) floorcoverings.
“Contractors who display the CFA logo have been independently vetted and so provide reassurance to the end user of a quality finished job and service to match.
“These factors are common to all members of credible trade bodies such as the CFA and PDA.
“We are delighted to be working with the PDA to bring similar benefits to our members when seeking a partner in another finishing trade.
“The proposition is simple, the PDA and CFA do the due diligence, so that others don’t have to. We strongly recommend CFA members should consider working with PDA members for all their painting and decorating needs.”
Both the PDA and CFA are long-serving members of BUILD UK, where Neil and Richard represent their sectors on the trade association committee.
