The INDX National Flooring Show, 13th – 14th May, Cranmore Park, Solihull, will be the first opportunity for retailers to see Louis De Poortere’s new 2025 Ecorugs Collection. The Belgian manufacturer, known for its beautiful woven rugs and carpets, will be exhibiting at the event, bringing highlights from the collection alongside Monochromes rugs, and Richelieu carpet and runners.
For 2025, Louis De Poortere has been able to increase the amount of recycled polyester in every new rug to 40% (up from 20% in 2023) without compromising quality and refinement. Louis De Poortere will present new designs in Ecorugs and will also showcase some of the qualities suitable for outdoor use, giving retailers the chance to enter the growing outdoor living market.
The 2025 Ecorugs Collection sees a range of new designs, all of which will be on show at INDX. For this year, the hugely popular Antiquarian line sees new designs in Suzani, Tabriz, Kasak, Antalia, while Mad Men enjoys two new designs in Sol and Virgin Land. Louis De Poortere has also expanded Structures with Berber and Craft with Ribbon.
Designed in collaboration with Stockholm-based Folkform, Monochromes is a capsule rug and wall textile collection. Inspired by wilton weaving, Folkform has blurred the boundaries by reversing the face of the textile so that the jute backing and intensely coloured wool wefts create the design itself.
Visitors to INDX will also see the Richelieu family of carpets and runners. Alongside refined and elegant woven wool carpets for discerning homes, Richelieu includes the wool-rich Richelieu Classic bespoke runner programme that offers over 20,000 possible design combinations in four widths from lengths of just 10 metres.
Louis De Poortere will also show its brand-new wilton collection, Les Blancs Structurés, for the very first time. This minimalist design comes in stunning geometric textures in the purity of white to enhance even the most prestigious of interiors.
Alan Russell, sales director, said: “We’re particularly excited about our outdoor ready rugs this year, as they let retailers tap into the growing outdoor living market with stock available to make the most of the run-up to the summer period. People are already getting out into their gardens in preparation for those long summer days, so visiting us at INDX could be just the thing to unlock sales growth from a new market.”
