Expedition I is a high-performance carpet tile collection from IVC, European manufacturer of carpet tiles and vinyl flooring.
Utilising IVC’s ownership by Mohawk Group Inc., the world’s largest flooring company, Expedition I is one of a select group of products made in the USA on state-of-the-art 1/12th gauge tufting machines. Conceived by IVC’s in-house team, Expedition I brings together the best of European design and the best of America’s manufacturing versatility.
Made of four loop-pile textures in Ecosphere, Hydrosphere, Layered Earth and Lithosphere, Expedition I takes an organic approach to design. Drawing inspiration from tree bark, flowing water, a view of earth from space and the planet’s inner layers; Expedition’s shared colour palette means designs can be combined for creative layout possibilities.

The collection uses hardwearing 30% recycled content Duracolor solution-dyed polyamide for lasting colour, easy maintenance and stain-resistance. Patented by Mohawk in 1991, the yarn has a proven track record of 20 years. In an oversize 60.9cm x 60.9cm format, Expedition I is equipped with IVC’s EcoFlex Statera 70% recycled content backing for a tile that’s made to last and better for the planet.
Class 33 rated and compatible with the innovative glue-free Flexlok installation system, Expedition I is now available from IVC.
