Forbo Flooring Systems has refreshed its established adhesive-free Modul’up and Sarlon sheet vinyl collections, with a range of new modern designs and colourways utilising Forbo’s innovative digital printing capabilities. Available locally and quick and easy to install, these solutions are ideal for commercial refurbishments within the education, private rental or healthcare sectors.
With time of the essence for flooring contractors, Forbo’s Modul’up vinyl collection delivers reliable adhesive free installation. Allowing contractors to save up to 50% on installation time and a competitive 30% on costs, Modul’up is locally stocked in the UK to support tight deadlines and fast delivery. Additionally, without the need for adhesives, Modul’up can contribute to more sustainable, circular projects, with the flooring able to be easily removed and reused or recycled at its end of life.
All of this makes the collection ideal for clients with tight deadlines and budgets, who don’t want the disruption and cost of extensive subfloor prep or pulling up the existing floor, and who are looking for more sustainable solutions.
Donna Hannaway, Head of Marketing UK and Ireland, from Forbo Flooring Systems, said: “With this latest update, we wanted to offer contractors a more streamlined product collection, which they can then take to their customers. The Modul’up range joins Eternal Fast Fit and Surestep Fast Fit in our new ‘Fast Supply & Fast Fit’ portfolio, offering adhesive-free solutions across an entire project. Able to be fitted over most existing flooring and walked-on immediately after installation, Modul’up is backed by years of innovation, with proven performance across thousands of projects and over one million square metres installed per year.
“We offer Modul’up in two constructions: a 19dB impact sound reduction version, perfect for refurbishments within the private rental or healthcare sector where acoustic performance is a key consideration, and the Compact range, offering enhanced durability and resilience for heavily trafficked areas or where rolling loads are found – such as in hospitals or schools.”
With this new refresh, Forbo is now offering both its Modul’up and Sarlon vinyl collections in 81 high-quality digitally printed colourways. These include contemporary wood and concrete aesthetics, taking inspiration from the real thing, as well as a wide palette of other concretes and stones. In addition to this, both Modul’up and Sarlon offer acoustic benefits, with a 15dB and 19dB impact sound reduction version of Sarlon and Modul’up 19dB, perfect for busy spaces where impact noise needs to be kept to a minimum.
Both ranges are manufactured in factories running off 100% renewable electricity, contain 20% recycled content (an increase of up to 20% from the previous ranges) and are 100% phthalate free. Forbo also runs a ‘Back to the Floor’ scheme, allowing installation offcuts to be returned for reuse within production.
Forbo’s new Fast Fit collection features a trio of products: Modul’up Fast Fit, Eternal Fast Fit and Surestep Fast Fit. Locally stocked for fast supply, all three solutions can be installed adhesive-free using the same tape and can be fitted on damp floors up to 92% relative humidity (RH). The products can also be stuck down, depending on the installer’s preference.
