Reflecting the trend for modular flooring, Forbo Flooring Systems has refreshed its Flotex Planks range.
With a variety of contemporary designs to choose from, along with its plank format and non-fray construction, the new Flotex Planks collection will allow contractors to create unique flooring designs with ease.
In addition to being available in 96 colourways across 11 designs, the versatile format of Forbo’s new Flotex Planks collection means that laying patterns, such as herringbone and chevron, can be fashioned with ease, whilst its non-fray construction allows for ease of installation. Although there are 11 different designs, the colours are actually tonally similar, enabling contractors to mix and match colours within a single design or easily combine with other designs to create exciting and individual flooring schemes for their clients.
Flotex Planks can also be used to help with zoning spaces or aid wayfinding around a building and offers the ideal solution for sectors such as offices, education, retail, leisure and hospitality, where modular flooring is becoming increasingly popular.
Chris Rand, Senior Marketing Executive at Forbo Flooring Systems, said: “The designs in the new collection are split into two distinct themes: Surfaces and Textures. Surfaces are inspired by natural materials, and include designs such as Wood, Concrete and Seagrass, as well as Marble, Ombré and Montage, which are new for 2021. Textures is influenced by graphic, geometric and textile patterns and features the all-new Converge, Frameweave and Refract, and established favourites, Triad and Box-Cross.
“Easy and quick to install, the plank format offers a more contemporary aesthetic compared to traditional square tiles. With minimal repeat in their patterning, contractors can still achieve beautifully interesting floors, even when using a single colour.”
What’s more, in the current climate where infection control and easy cleaning is vital for the maintenance of buildings, contractors can provide their clients with peace of mind that Flotex Planks are a safe and hygienic solution. The unique floorcovering is completely washable and quick drying, resulting in less downtime after cleaning and facilities can be back in operation within hours.
Offering the warmth, comfort and acoustic properties of a textile floorcovering combined with outstanding durability and cleanability, Flotex is a smart floorcovering. It contains zero phthalates and is the only textile to hold the prestigious Allergy UK Seal of Approval. Additionally, Flotex Planks provides both low in-room impact noise performance as well as good impact sound reduction (19 dB), helping to create quieter, comfortable and healthier environments.
Flotex Planks is also part of Forbo’s Office Fit Out collection, which means that it can be installed alongside Coral Entrance Matting, Allura Flex or Allura Ease LVT and Tessera carpet tiles without the need for transition strips.
