During Clerkenwell Design Week (CDW) 2023, Forbo Flooring Systems will once again be opening the doors of its EC1 Showroom, based on St John Street, to visitors wanting to find out more about Marmoleum, one of the most sustainable floorcoverings on the market.
With everyone, from architects and designers to flooring contractors and specifiers, looking to reduce their carbon footprint, Forbo will be showcasing its own brand of Linoleum – Marmoleum – a natural floorcovering renowned for its durability, high-quality design and sustainability – as well as presenting its newly refreshed Marmoleum Cocoa collection.
Made with 97% natural raw materials, 61% of which are rapidly renewable, Marmoleum is a true climate positive flooring in the cradle to gate phase without offsetting.
Forbo will also be showcasing its newly refreshed Marmoleum Cocoa range, which includes a selection of new colourways, such as Meringue and Salted Caramel.
Marmoleum Cocoa is a unique blend of cocoa waste with Marmoleum, creating an innovative and striking floorcovering. By adding the cocoa husks to the normal Marmoleum ingredients and production process, Forbo has made a unique product, in terms of both construction and aesthetics, that further enhances the sustainability of the product, but also pushes the environmental goals of the company.
Karen Wilding, Marketing Communications Manager from Forbo spoke about CDW 2023, saying: “Sustainability is something that is no longer limited to specific projects, but is applicable to the entire industry now. By using more sustainable products and making better choices, this is something we can all work together on to improve.
“Visitors to our showroom can expect to find out more about our refreshed Marmoleum Cocoa collection, getting a sneak peek at some of our new colourways that are being added, as well as being able to pick-up some chocolate themed giveaways!”
