FeRFA Gears Up for 50th Anniversary Awards

FeRFA 50th Anniversary Awards Dinner

FeRFA’s Annual Awards Dinner will take place in the Banqueting Suite of the De Vere East Midlands Conference Centre & Orchard Hotel in Nottingham on Friday 29 November. This year will be a special one since it is FeRFA’s 50th anniversary – celebrating half a century of representing and leading the UK resin flooring industry.

Entries to the FeRFA Best Practice Awards are now closed and the judges are concluding work on their deliberations. This year there are five Award categories – Best Industrial Project - Large; and Best Industrial Project - Small; Best Commercial Project - Large; Best Commercial Project - Small; and a new Award of Outstanding Contribution to FeRFA.

The Outstanding Contribution Award will be judged on a company or individual’s contribution to the Resin Flooring Association and its dedication to improving the quality and perceived value of surface preparation and installed in-situ resin and screed flooring for its end user customers.

Last year’s Award winners included IRL Group & Remmers in the Small Industrial Project of the Year category. Their project was at Swiftool Precision Engineering Limited, Sutton in Ashfield.

The Large Industrial Project of the year category was won by Integrated Flooring Technologies & Flowcrete for the Macallan Distillery, Scotland.

Small Commercial Project of the year was won by Zircon Flooring and Sika for the Leeds Art University..

The Large Commercial Category was won by Coatech and Flowcrete for the Menai Science Park (M-SParc) in Gaerwen, Anglesey.

As well as the serious side of recognising excellence and achievement in the resin flooring industry, it also looks set to be a very enjoyable evening. FeRFA has secured the services of popular musician, broadcaster and CofE priest Reverend Richard Coles as host. Richard is known to many as a member of 1980s band The Communards, alongside Jimmy Somerville. More recently he is known for a wide range of media appearances, including Celebrity Masterchef, Strictly Come Dancing and Have I Got News for You.

Tickets for the Awards Dinner cost £90 + VAT for individual tickets, reduced to £81 + VAT per person for bookings of 10 or more guests. The dress code is black tie. Accommodation is available at the De Vere Orchard Hotel.
