London Build Expo is one of the UK’s largest construction events and Beauflor used the show as an opportunity to showcase its vinyl floors for the housing sector on a striking stand with an impressive feature wall made with its Create bespoke design programme.
On show were Blacktex, Smartex, Quintex and the high-performance Xtreme which provide housing projects with attractive vinyl floors that are fast to install, durable and easy to look after. With a textile back that allows them to be fitted without glue in rooms (Blacktex and Quintex – up to 35m2, Smartex – up to 25m2, Xtreme – up to 20m2) the floors make refurbishing within properties fast and easy. By avoiding damage to the subfloor, installing without glue also significantly reduces replacement time over floors that need to be glued down. What’s more, these floors can also be installed over existing floors like ceramic or timber.
Chris Roberts, regional sales director, said: “The housing market, particularly social and affordable homes, need solutions that can have a real impact on the cost of construction and ongoing maintenance. We used London Build Expo to show how our vinyl floors can help housebuilders to achieve exactly this, all while providing occupiers with a floor that’s comfortable, quiet, durable and easy to maintain. It was a really productive couple of days that saw us build upon last year’s event with some great conversations on the market and how our floors can help developers to construct more efficiently.”
The Belgian manufacturer also used London Build Expo to show how it is working to improve the sustainability of its products. Through its four-stage plan to have zero environmental footprint by 2030, Beauflor is reducing impact in four key areas: raw materials, production, usage and end-of-life. Visitors to its stand throughout the show learnt how the launch of the new Twilight collection sees a big step in the right direction under the first of these, raw materials.
