Abingdon Flooring is Open for Delivery

British carpet manufacturer, Abingdon Flooring, has reopened its sales office and recommenced a national delivery service through Alliance Floorcovering Ltd in preparation of retailers across the country returning to opening.

On Monday 18 May, Abingdon Flooring reopened its sales office, accepting customer calls and providing a cut-length collection service at its Hemel Hempstead and Kidderminster hubs. Delivery to customers will commence just a week after, with Alliance Floorcovering Ltd resuming service week beginning 25 May. It is expected that production of new carpets at the company’s South Wales plant will begin from Monday 1 June.

Martin Peace, sales director, Abingdon Flooring, said: “We are pleased to be able to resume the supply of floorcoverings to our retail partners across the UK. There is no doubt the pandemic has challenged the industry beyond anything that has come before in recent times and that it must now adapt to ensure the continued running of the businesses that are at its heart, a nationwide network of specialist retailers.

“We will be working closely with our retailers to ensure that they can return to business as best as possible. All of our deliveries through Alliance Floorcovering will be adhering to safe distancing guidelines, bearing in mind the wellbeing of our customers and employees at all times.”

Currently, the supply of samples direct from the company’s website remains temporarily unavailable. Abingdon Flooring is monitoring the situation with the intent to resume the service as soon as it is possible and safe to do so.
